Adios, garage sale!

The garage sale is over! And since the profits from this garage sale were double that of the last garage sale we had (three years ago) I think we can call it a success! Also, we are going to call the Idaho Youth Ranch to come and pick up everything that wasn’t sold that we are not keeping, and getting a nice tax deduction for that. Another nice break there.

And another success. My friend was able to come for a wonderful visit and help us! Even though it rained the first day of the sale, and I mean rained, we did well. That night she took us to dinner at one of my favorite places. We played Jeopardy, had good talks, and went to bed probably too late.

So in the morning when she woke my husband up by knocking on the door when the yard sale was supposed to start, it was a good thing she was there! We got the sale out in record time! Although it was a beautiful, clear day, it was only a fraction as successful as the first day. Strange, huh?
