One week from today we will be in Eugene.
But today I want to talk about this move compared to the last move.
About a year ago we moved from our house to this rental we live in now. It was a move of necessity, similar to our current move in that respect. But it was very different. We had a couple of months to get ready to move. We hired movers to actually move our stuff from one house to another. We had so much time we painted the new place.
And the biggest difference of all. I was tossing back 20mg of Norco every 6 hours. I was still in some pain, the nerve pain has this miserable, smarmy way of cutting through most narcotics when taken at reasonable doses, but wow could I work hard.
Now I work for a little bit, have to take a break, sit on ice, even take a nap so I can lie in bed. It’s slow going, and frustrating, and not just frustrating for me, but obviously for my husband who has to do so much more this move than last.
I’m looking forward to all the help we’ll have next week with my brothers and my mom. We’ll get the truck loaded up and the place cleaned out and cleaned up. Not having to carry that burden alone (just hubby and me) helps me breathe a little easier.
I'm glad you're taking better care of yourself this move. I can only imagine how frustrating how it feels, but I'm glad you're taking care of yourself.
